Day 1: Nairobi / Masai Mara
Depart Wilson Airport and fly to Masai Mara Game Reserve. On arrival, you will be met by your host and transferred to the Camp/lodge for lunch. The Masai Mara National Reserve is one of the most spectacular and most popular game reserves in Kenya. The concentration of game in the Mara during the mass migration is incredible, and this is one of the areas where you are likely to see all of the Big 5: buffalo, elephant, rhino, lion, and leopard.
Afternoon game drive follows. Dinner and overnight at the camp.
Day 2 & 3: Masai Mara
You will set out just before sunrise in search of the game as you enjoy the richness of the Park’s wildlife and endless savannah.
The Maasai Mara is known as Africa’s Greatest Wildlife Reserve and is famous for the abundance of lion‚ the Great Wildebeest Migration and the Maasai people who are well known for their distinctive custom and dress‚ it is without a doubt one of Africa’s most famous safari destinations. The Masai Mara stretches 1‚510 sq. km and offers the best game and bird-viewing not only in Kenya‚ but anywhere in Africa. The views across the rolling golden grasslands studded with acacia trees‚ rivers and forests are dazzling‚ the sense of space overwhelming.
In between your morning and afternoon game drive, you will have ample time to relax and enjoy the ambiance at your camp or lodge.
Optional Hot Air Balloon Safari: @USD $ 495 Per Person
One morning during your stay, wake early and embark on an hour-long balloon safari over the vast plains of the Masai Mara. Begin your morning with a spectacular Hot Air Balloon Safari (flight) at break of dawn – fly gracefully over the scenic African savanna teeming with wildlife. The balloon takes off approx 6.15 am, which means you will be collected from your camp by around 5.30 am – yes, an early start but ever so worth it. The one-hour flight concludes with a ”Champagne Breakfast in the Bush”, at the landing site.
Day 4: Masai Mara – Nairobi
Enjoy a final early morning game drive before breakfast‚ after which you will be catching your return flight to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport. On your arrival, transfer to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight home, the memories, sights, and sounds of the past few days still fresh in your mind.
