Overview
Though you could probably have a Maasai Mara Kenya Safari in just 3 days (we have that option as well!), the reserve is simply too vast. Who knows what you might miss during a 3-day exploration? Spend four days in the stunning lands of Kenya instead.
The ultra-modern facilities and entertainment possibilities of the Mara Sopa, Mara Serena, Mara Sarova Lodge, and Mara Simba Lodge remove any doubt that this is the way to go. If you want the full Mara experience, that is.
Day 1: Nairobi to Maasai Mara
Your holiday in Kenya starts with a leisurely ride in one of our safari vehicles. During this 5 to 6 hour drive from Nairobi Airport, you can enjoy a break and a few splendid shots of the Kenyan Rift Valley. Since that is not your destination, we depart for the Mara and arrive just in time for lunch.
Unpack, and get ready for a fun afternoon admiring the “big 5” of African game! All our Land Cruisers and Tour Vans are equipped with special hatches. You can have a closer look at the lions, leopards, elephants, buffalos, and rhinos without putting yourself in danger.
Return to the Mara Sopa (or camp of your choosing) for rest. Or enjoy the rest of the evening at the well-stocked bars, pubs, and gift shops. If it’s hot outside, a quick dip in the spacious pools will cool you off nicely.

Day 2: Full Day of Exploration
Another day, another early-morning game drive. Spend the rest of the morning at leisure, taking the chance to explore the lodge surroundings or relaxing.
Of course, a safari in Kenya wouldn’t be complete without observing cultural activities of the Maasai people. Otherwise, you can take advantage of the pleasant weather and have a quick dive in the lodge swimming pools.
In any case, it would be time for another ride through the wilderness. The schedule is flexible for each of our guests, however. It’s a perfect fit for families with children or honeymooners. From July to November, you can observe the breathtaking Great Wildebeest Migration in full swing. Hop in one of our Land Cruisers and enjoy the show. You will also have the option of visiting a local Maasai village at a fee of between (US$ 30- 40 per person).
Whatever you choose to do, your day will end with an overnight rest in preparation for another day of adventure.
Meal Plan: B, L, D
Day 3: The Mara: Reloaded
Stretch after your relaxing sleep and prepare for an early morning game drive! The Maasai Mara Kenya safari can be pretty tiring, so remember that you have the option of sleeping in and a flexible schedule for your rides.
If you haven’t already, feel free to ask one of the experienced guides at the Mara lodges for a guided walk. Bird-watching is a very promising activity for many of our guests. Secretary Birds, Kori Bustards, and Ground Hornbills are famous visitors of the Mara grasslands. If your game drive takes you through the marshlands, seek out the multiple Stork species, as well as the elegant Sacred Ibis.
In the words of the late Billy Mays: “But wait, there’s more!” You can take a hot air balloon ride for an entirely different safari experience! Otherwise, ask around for a full day of game driving with optional picnic lunch – only $30-40 per person.
As usual, the Mara Sopa provides exclusive local entertainers and musicians for a pleasant evening. Sit down by the campfire, have a cold one, and enjoy the music and stories.
Meal Plan: B, L, D
Day 4: End of Maasai Mara Kenya Safari; Return to Nairobi
Even though your exclusive safari holiday in Kenya is nearing its end, you need not worry. One last game drive at early hours will remind you why you came here in the first place. The natural beauty of the surroundings and the Mara River are something you will never forget.
We will transfer you to Nairobi Airport or location of choice to return home at the end of your journey.
